My parents love the mountains, so when I was young i usually go hiking every week with my parents. These days I also go to the mountains when I have time. This post I'll introduce Samaksan famous mountain in south korea. If you like to hike, I recommend Samksan, you can take a breathtaking view at the top of the mountain. Even its not too difficult for hikers

 

The easiest way to reach the top of the famous Samkasan mountain in South Korea

There are two ways in which you can get to the top of the mountain

1.Directions from Uiam Ticket Office (distance 1.8km)

2. Directions from Deungseon Falls Car Park (distance 2.9km)

Option 1 is the shortest route. However, it is very steep and time consuming. So I choose option 2 Deungseon Falls Car Park. It's a relatively easy climb and the views of the rocks at the start are stunning.

Nevigation destination : 115-3 Deokduwon-ri, Seo-myeon, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do

The parking fee is 4000 won for large cars. 2000 won for small cars.

 

Entrace Samak Famous Mountain in South Korea

Park and hike. See rock formations and waterfalls. After enjoying the waterfall, you'll find the ticket office. The entrance fee is 2,000 won. When you pay the 2,000 won entrance fee, they give you a 2,000 won gift certificate to spend at Chuncheon. You can also use it at restaurants or souvenir shops on the mountain

Tips : Be sure to stop by the toilets near the ticket office, they are clean and the last ones.

 

Start your hike

Once you start hiking, you'll come to wooden steps and dirt paths. It's not that difficult, so just carry on.

If you walk up for about 30 minutes, you'll see a small temple. You can reach it by taking a side road for about 5 minutes on the way up.

If you're hiking in autumn, you'll see plenty of chestnuts and dotholes. Koreans often pick chestnuts and dottole to eat at home.

After walking for about 40-50 minutes you'll come to a stone-stepped area. In Korea, it's called 333 steps. If you pass this section, you're almost at the top, so cheer up.

Once you reach the top, you'll be rewarded with picturesque views. If you're lucky, you'll be on cloud nine by 11am.

Clouds are more likely to form on days when there is a large difference in temperature between day and night, as Mt. Samaksan has a lake nearby. I can't believe the views after an hour of hiking.

From the top, it's a six-minute walk back to the viewing platform. Here you can enjoy a different kind of view.

After 11am, when the sun rises, the clouds begin to clear. Looking at this also makes me feel breathtaking
